The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) says an unidentified helicopter has crashed into a building at Oba Akran area of Ikeja, Lagos.

The Public Affairs, General Manager of NSIB, Mr Tunji Oketumbi, told reporters that the crash occurred on Tuesday at about 3:30 p.m.

He said that the four occupants in the crashed helicopter sustained injuries but were rescued alive.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon close to a branch of the United Bank for Africa in the area. The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services confirmed the incident.

The spokesperson for the agency, Amodu Shakiru, said the occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries.
