The Lagos Command of the Nigerian Legion has kicked started the five million salute fundraising art project to honour Nigerian veterans for their unwavering dedication, sacrifice, and to give welfare support to veterans across the state. 

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa represented by Brig. Gen. Caius Baushe while commending the sacrifices of the brave men and women highlighted some of the trauma they went through after risking their lives to safeguard the nation at large. 

Brig. Gen. Baushe further noted that the official launch of the Nigerian Legion five million salute and first world performance of the Nigerian legion play is in honour of the Nigerian veterans and the fallen heroes who on a daily basis risk their lives.
