The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris-Malagi, said the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu is fully committed to the process of restoring the economic prosperity of Nigeria.

The minister made this known in an interview with reporters in Minna, Niger on the sidelines of a civic reception organised for elected and appointed officials by Gov. Umar Bago.

According to Idris-Malagi, Tinubu is working round the clock to robustly initiate policies and programmes, internally and externally, to revive the economy.

He said: “As we speak, the president is attending the G-20 Summit of the world’s strongest economies in India to attract more foreign investors.

“Tinubu is now in India attracting the best of Industries to come to Nigeria in the bid to have tangible economic prosperity for Nigerians in the nearest future.

“The president is aware of some of the hardships that Nigerians are encountering as a result of the very strong, powerful steps he has taken to restore the economy, especially the fuel subsidy removal.

“This is a temporary step and Nigerians will soon smile in the nearest future as the Federal Government has taken the right steps to cushion the effects.” He added

Idris-Malagi further recalled that large sums of money and assorted grains had since been released to all the sub nationals in this direction, revealing that it was in a bid to complement their efforts to minimize the sufferings of Nigerians.

Idris-Malagi added: “Tinubu hopes that these modest steps will go a long way in ensuring that Nigerians come out of this crisis.

“More steps will be taken by the Federal Government to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians.”

According to the minister, all the state governments are to get more revenues that can be ploughed back to bolster the economy, as he averred that the development would bring back jobs to the teeming youths in the country.
