The 11 times African champion recorded two goalless draws against Ireland, Australia and a 3 2 win over Canada in the group stage.
The Nigerian team are in the round of 16 for the third time at a fifa women's world cup.
However, Back home in Nigeria, the team has continued to get accolades for their performance.
