Zambia were once again humiliated at the women's world cup losing 5 0 to Spain.

Jenni Hermoso and Alba Redondo scored twice as the Europeans progressed to the last 16 with a game to spare.

The Spanish opened their Group C campaign with a 3-0 win against Costa Rica last week.

They picked up where they left off against Zambia, with a ninth-minute lead with aTeresa Abelleira stunning strike.

The victory meant Japan - who beat Costa Rica 2-0 earlier- also progress to the next round.

The two sides will meet in a battle for first place on Monday, 31 July.
