Popular South African musician, Costa Tsobanoglou, professionally known as Costa Titch, has passed on.

Costa Titch was reported to have died while performing on stage at the Ultra Music Festival held in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Details of some videos trending on Social Media, showed how the singer fell down during the performance, but continued singing after he was picked up by his bodyguard.

South African media personality, Phil Mphela, confirmed the news via Twitter late night on Saturday, revealing that the South African rapper slumped a second time and had to be carried off stage.

The media personality said in his tweet, “RIP: Costa Titch. Nelspruit-born artist and dancer, real name Costa Tsobanoglou, has passed away.  He was 27.”

Titch was popular for his contribution to the Amapiano genre with hits such as ‘Big Flexa’, ‘Nkalakatha’ and ‘Activate’.

Although, as at the time of this report, nothing official about the said death or its cause has been put out by his family or management, music industry folks like DJ Neptune, Phil Mphela, and a host of others have put out their condolences on the artiste’s death.

The ace singer and dancer was born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, in 1995 and is known for several hits, including Big Flexa Nkalakatha and Activate.

Meanwhile, Costa’s death is another huge loss for the South African music industry after his colleague, Kiernan Forbes alias AKA, was shot dead in February.
