The Joint Committee of the House of Representatives investigating the Arbitrary Increases in the Prices of Cement by Cement Manufacturers has issued a last summons to the Cement Manufacturers Association of Nigeria over the evasion of the invitation extended to it by the House twice.
The Chairman of the House Committee, gaza ogwefi said the association should desist from using frivolous court injunction to interfere or halt the ongoing investigation by the House on what it called the arbitrary increase in the price of Cement in the country.
Gaza further lambasted the representative of FCCPC, Boladale Adeyinka for not doing enough to protect the consumers of cement in line with the agency's establishment Act and also asked the agency to go back rework and represent the 4 pages document submitted to the House on their investigations on cement price increase in recent time
