Local media on Friday reported that Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas has approved the new government headed by Prime Minister-designate, Mohammad Mustafa.
His appointment came after the Palestinian government, led by former Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, resigned in light of challenging circumstances amid the developments in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
The report revealed that the new government would prioritise humanitarian issues, encompassing a comprehensive plan for humanitarian aid for Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and reconstruction of the enclave.
It added that the government would also focus on efforts to stabilise the financial situation and economic impact in Gaza and West Bank, it added.
