Napoli won their first Serie A title as they drew with Udinese at Dacia Arena to spark jubilant celebrations back in Naples.
The club won the league in 1990 with Diego Maradona in the team.
Napoli's previous two titles came in 1987 and 1990 the days of the Argentine legend.
The Naples side have now named their stadium after him.
Victor Osimhen added to his season tally of 21 in the 52nd-minute after Sandi Lovric had given Udinese the lead.
The draw gave Napoli the point they needed to win their third Serie A title with five games remaining in the league.
The 16-point advantage over second-placed Lazio means their third Serie A title is now confirmed.
Nigerian international Victor Osimhen had scored 21 goals in 26 league games with Georgia winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia contributing 12 goals and 10 assists.
