Manchester United will sign Mason Mount from Chelsea on a five-year contract after both team agreed a deal worth £55m, plus £5m in add-ons for the midfielder 

Mount will be united first signing of the summer.

Chelsea which spent about  £600m last season need to sell before 30 June to ease Financial Fair Play concerns.

The London Club rejected United's first three bids but talks between the two clubs resumed this week to resolve the impasse.

The midfielder who joined Chelsea aged six scored 33 goals in 195 appearances for the blues since making his senior debut in 2019.

He won the Champions League in 2021 with Chelsea.

Mount also has the Fifa Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup in his trophy cabinet.
