Nigerians Advised To Be Security Conscious

The Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has issued a call to action to all Nigerians to be vigilant and aware of security issues surrounding them to foster a safer and more secured environment. 

The IGP said this when he was represented by the Commissioner of Police FCT Command, Ajao Adewale at a book launch in Abuja.

The book titled "One step Ahead of Once -Chance Robbers and other criminals" was written by Superintendent of Police, SP Adebayo jogbojogbo.

The FCT police boss emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in national security.

He advised Nigerians to make security a personal issue which essential for national security

Deputy speaker house of representatives Benjamin Kalu represented by Dr Jerry Nwohu, said that the menace of one chance in the country cannot be over emphasised, hence reporting suspicious activities, and cooperating with law enforcement agencies is key.

Representatives of other security agencies present at the book launch said Nigerians can collectively work towards a safer and more secured future as collective effort is crucial in addressing the complex security challenges facing the nation.
