The Intellectual Elite Youth Association of Nigeria (IEYAN) has declared its support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration as it officially started preparations for its much-anticipated National Convention.
During its quarterly meeting held in Abuja, key members of the association unanimously reaffirmed their backing for Nigeria's President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress-led federal government, highlighting their shared commitment to national unity and growth.
Azeez Balogun, President of IEYAN, who announced this, emphasized the organization's dedication to national progress and youth engagement. "IEYAN stands firmly behind the present administration's vision for innovation, inclusivity, and youth empowerment. Our partnership with the government leaves no youth behind as we build a better Nigeria," Hon. Balogun stated.
Access24 news reports that IEYAN, a coalition of patriotic and progressive elite youths spanning every geopolitical zone in Nigeria, says it is resolute in its pursuit of fostering entrepreneurship, leadership, and critical skill acquisition among young people nationwide. It said it is doing this through robust mentorship and empowerment programs, and the association advocates for youth participation in national development and economic sustainability.
The group commended President Tinubu for his dedication to inclusive governance and transformative policies, especially those targeted at creating more opportunities for Nigerian youths. 
The association extolled the administration's efforts in promoting stakeholder engagement, educational reforms, and the government’s youth-centered initiatives.
According to Hon. Azeez Balogun, "The youth are the backbone of our nation’s future, and it is only by empowering them that Nigeria can fully realize its developmental goals. IEYAN is fully committed to complementing government efforts by providing young people with the tools and platforms they need to thrive."
The upcoming IEYAN 2025 National Convention serves as a rallying point for visionary and progressive youths from every corner of Nigeria. The convention will feature a robust line-up of entrepreneurial workshops, creative innovation sessions, skill acquisition training, and networking opportunities aimed at promoting financial independence and stimulating economic growth among attendees.
The group called on all youths to actively participate in its programs and play a critical role in nation-building, reiterating its commitment to advocacy, leadership development, and lifelong learning.
As preparations intensify for the 2025 National Convention, the association assures all stakeholders of its readiness to collaborate for a better, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria.
