Manchester City's Erling Haaland has won the Premier League player and young player of the year awards.

The Norwegian becomes the first player to do so in same season in the English Premier League.

The 22 year old has scored 52 goals during the campaign.

"I am pleased  to have become the first player to win both awards in the same season - thank you to everyone who voted for me," he  said.

Haaland, who received the most combined votes from the public and a Premier League panel, joined City from Borussia Dortmund last year and helped the club win a third successive top-flight title.

He has been named the Football Writers' Association (FWA) men's footballer of the year.

City are gunning for the Treble this year, they face Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday 3 June before playing Inter Milan in the Champions League final on 10 June.

If they win the treble, they will become the second team to achieve such fate since Manchester United did so in 1999.
