The president of the United States, Joe Biden, has vowed that the West will not abandon Ukraine in its fight against the Russian invasion.
Biden made this known to the crowd assembled in the courtyard of Vilnius University, adding that US will stand for liberty and freedom for as long as it takes.
"We will not waver," he said in the courtyard of Vilnius University, saying that President Vladimir Putin had expected NATO to "break" -- but "he thought wrong".
"The defence of freedom is not the work of a day or a year. It's the calling of our lifetime -- of all time."
