The People’s Democratic Party’s Olajide Adediran has selected Nollywood actress Funke Akindele as one of his running mates for the governorship of Lagos State. The actress is one of the five people selected as Adediran’s running mate, but that hasn’t been confirmed, the governorship candidate’s spokesman claims.
“Funke Akindele hasn’t been confirmed as Jandor’s running mate. Funke is one of the five nominees to be Jandor’s running mate,” he said.
She was nominated alongside four other people, whose names are [Rasheed] Teslim-Balogun, Adenike Shobajo, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and Kolawole Vaughan. As of yet, Jandor has not chosen a running mate.
Days have passed since Tonto Dikeh, Akindele’s colleague, was named the ADC candidate for governor of Rivers State’s running mate.
